In June 2017, ECP acquired a controlling ownership stake in Fort Worth, Texas based Continental Intermodal Group LP (“CIG”), a leading independent provider of integrated logistics infrastructure and solutions to the oil and gas industry.

CIG is the largest operator of sand and well consumable transloading facilities in the U.S. with 17 terminals currently operating across the Permian (9), Eagle Ford (4), Haynesville (2), SCOOP/STACK (1) and Marcellus (1) basins, along with an additional two contracted terminals currently under advanced development. In December 2017, CIG acquired a well site solution and last mile logistics platform, SandStorm and associated specialty Proppant Transports. CIG’s ability to provide integrated transloading, in-basin bulk storage, last-mile transportation, wellsite storage and delivery, and inventory management allows CIG to provide its customers an integrated sand logistics solution across the logistics value chain.

CIG has successfully grown its platform through a variety of business cycles since its inception in 2009 by acquiring, developing and commercializing frac sand logistics assets. The management team has established a roster of loyal customers diversified across the oil and gas value chain.
