Rob Hayes

Operating Partner

Mr. Hayes is an Operating Partner and is involved in many of the firm's power related investments.  He currently serves as Chairman of the Titan Portfolio and was most recently Chairman of the Board of Cornerstone Generation, prior to its sale to Talen Energy.  He is a member of the ECP Operations Group. Mr. Hayes has a long history with ECP dating back to 2007, and he served as Chief Commercial Officer of several platform companies including FirstLight and EquiPower.

 

Mr. Hayes' experience in energy stretches back 35 years.  In that time, he held roles in plant operations, environmental affairs, market analysis, development, commercial operations, finance, and leadership of various business units.  Mr. Hayes began his career at Georgia Power Company and worked in numerous Southern Company subsidiaries.  He was Vice President of Mirant with responsibilities for the West, Mid-Continent, and South business units before joining FirstLight.

 

Mr. Hayes has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from The Georgia Institute of Technology.
